# Alumni & Family Engagement Manager
Beaver is looking for an outgoing, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Working across the full lifecycle of the Beaver experience, the Alumni and Family Engagement Manager creates meaningful opportunities for alumni, current families, past parents, grandparents, and other members of the Beaver community to connect with the School and with one another. This individual has an understanding of how to orient, educate, cultivate and leverage very different audiences and has a track record of building and deepening relationships that inspire both volunteerism and philanthropy.
This role will be instrumental in welcoming new members of the community, sustaining relationships beyond graduation, and engaging individuals who are not already actively involved with Beaver. They will take a data-driven approach to the work to make decisions, and track connection, participation, and volunteerism. This individual will be able to show a direct connection from their work to increased philanthropy across the constituencies they engage. The role is highly collaborative and externally facing, partnering across the School to translate institutional priorities into engagement opportunities that strengthen community, broaden participation, and cultivate future volunteer and philanthropic leaders.
Alumni and Family Engagement
- Develop and execute an annual engagement plan aligned with departmental and institutional priorities.
- Create meaningful opportunities for alumni, current families, past parents, grandparents, and other members of Beaver's extended community to connect with the School and one another.
- Lead Reunion planning and other key alumni and family programs, including regional and affinity-based engagement.
- Conduct outreach and discovery to engage individuals who are not currently connected and identify opportunities for deeper involvement.
Volunteer Engagement
- Build and steward a broad pipeline of alumni and family volunteers, creating roles as ambassadors, connectors, hosts, mentors, advisors, and philanthropic partners.
- Serve as the primary P&E liaison to the Parent Association and support its leadership and volunteer structure.
- Partner with P&E colleagues to identify and cultivate individuals with potential for deeper volunteer and philanthropic leadership.
Programs and Events
- Lead the planning and execution of designated alumni, family, and institutional programs and events.
- Partner with colleagues across Beaver to develop engagement opportunities connected to academics, arts, athletics, student life, and institutional priorities.
- Design programs and events to advance relationship-building and engagement goals, and evaluate their effectiveness over time.
P&E Collaboration and Engagement Strategy
- Collaborate with P&E colleagues to integrate engagement with cultivation, stewardship, Annual Fund, and campaign priorities.
- Track engagement and volunteer activity, using participation data and community feedback to inform future planning.
- Partner with P&E colleagues to ensure that constituent engagement and volunteer information is accurately maintained.
- Participate fully in the life of Beaver, including occasional evening and weekend programs and events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience in alumni or family engagement, advancement, education, nonprofit management, volunteer management, or a related field.Strong relationship-building, communication, program management, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, engage, and steward volunteers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong follow-through
- Collaborative, curious, flexible, and detail oriented
- Ability to translate broader priorities into concrete programs and plans

Salary Range:
