Keep the Products Moving That Help Our Neighbors Find Answers.
Behind every product photo, installation video, expert answer, and helpful product description at etrailer is a team working to get the right product into the right hands.
As a Porter – Product Handler, you'll help make that happen. You'll locate, pull, deliver, and track products requested by teams throughout etrailer, making sure they have what they need to keep their work moving. Your organization and follow-through directly support the teammates creating the product information our neighbors rely on when making decisions.
The right product. The right place. The right time.
This is an active role for someone who enjoys staying organized, managing changing priorities, and taking ownership of their work. You'll balance requests from multiple teams while keeping products accurately tracked from the time you pull them until they're where they need to be.
What You Will Do
- Locate, pull, deliver, and accurately track products requested by teams creating product descriptions, photography, videos, installations, and expert answers.
- Manage requests from multiple teams, prioritize what needs to move first, and communicate when timelines or priorities conflict.
- Keep accurate records of product movement so teammates know where products are and what's available.
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered and non-powered material-handling equipment after completing required training.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas while following established safety procedures.
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training to build your knowledge and work more effectively.
- Take ownership of your work, support the teammates around you, and have some fun keeping everything moving.
What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
- You're organized and can keep track of multiple requests, products, and priorities without losing the details.
- You take ownership of your work and stay productive without needing someone constantly checking on you.
- You communicate clearly when priorities compete, something changes, or you need additional information.
- You use good judgment, follow instructions carefully, and understand when it's better to ask than assume.
- You're dependable and understand that other teammates may be waiting on you before they can move their work forward.
- You're comfortable working in an active warehouse environment and learning to safely operate material-handling equipment.
- Previous warehouse, material handling, inventory, or forklift experience is helpful, but reliability, organization, and a willingness to learn matter just as much.
The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to accurately track product movement, and the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday. Previous forklift certification is preferred, but not required.
Who This Role Is For
This role is a great fit for someone who likes being the person others can count on to get things where they need to go.
You won't spend your day in one place doing the same task. You'll move throughout the operation, work with different teams, respond to changing requests, and help keep projects from slowing down because someone is waiting on a product.
If you're dependable, like staying active, enjoy organizing moving pieces, and get satisfaction from helping an entire team work more effectively, you'll find plenty of opportunities to make an impact at etrailer.
Benefits
etrailer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and more.
You'll also receive ongoing product and technical training while gaining exposure to teams across etrailer and learning how products move through our content and installation processes.
Ready to Help Keep etrailer Moving?
If you're organized, dependable, comfortable staying active, and enjoy being someone your teammates can rely on, we'd love to hear from you.
