Position: SharePoint Architect

Location:  Lexington Park MD - ** This is a hybrid position based in Lexington Park, Maryland. Preference will be given to candidates who are local to the Lexington Park area and able to work onsite as required. Candidates located in the DC metropolitan area may also be considered with the ability to work onsite in Lexington Park approximately once per month.**

Overview: ITC Defense is seeking a SharePoint Architect to support the design, modernization, and sustainment of Microsoft SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions in support of Navy logistics, sustainment, and enterprise information management requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions, including sites, lists, libraries, permissions, content types, templates, and modernized SharePoint structures.
- Serve as a senior technical resource for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions supporting logistics, sustainment, case management, financial tracking, and related business processes.
- Plan and execute SharePoint migration activities, including content assessment, inventory, mapping, migration, validation, testing, cutover, and documentation.
- Develop and support Power Automate workflows to extend SharePoint functionality and automate business processes.
- Design and maintain SharePoint and SQL-based data structures while supporting data integrity, governance, and applicable DoD data management requirements.
- Integrate Microsoft 365 and Azure services to support secure and scalable enterprise solutions.
- Design and implement role-based access controls in accordance with Department of the Navy (DON) policies, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements, Zero Trust principles, and applicable governance standards.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI or other approved tools to support logistics, program, and FMS performance visibility.
- Develop and maintain automated document management workflows in accordance with applicable Navy records management requirements.
- Collaborate with government and program stakeholders to identify user needs, define technical requirements, and prioritize solution development and enhancements.
- Support compliance with applicable DoD cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework (RMF), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), FedRAMP, and Microsoft 365 governance requirements.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of SharePoint issues involving permissions, performance, workflows, data, and system integrations.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint Online governance standards, including site provisioning, lifecycle management, permissions, and content compliance.
- Develop user documentation, training materials, walkthroughs, and onboarding resources.
- Coordinate with logistics, engineering, financial, cybersecurity, and program teams to support integrated technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), deployment guides, and maintenance plans.
- Lead technical discussions supporting architecture reviews, audits, governance boards, and sustainment working groups.
- Support continuity of operations (COOP), backup planning, and operational resilience for mission-critical SharePoint environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 development and administration best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (trimmed to true minimums)
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and supporting SharePoint solutions, including SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing secure SharePoint solutions in accordance with access control, governance, and information management requirements.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) environments.
- Knowledge of and experience supporting DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF and DISA STIGs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to support the position’s onsite requirements in Lexington Park, Maryland, based on the agreed-upon work arrangement.
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II-compliant certification, such as CompTIA Security+.

- Experience with C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and API integrations.
- Experience modernizing legacy DoD applications, data, or workflows into SharePoint Online.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and other Microsoft Power Platform capabilities.
- Knowledge of DoD logistics, aviation sustainment, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case management, or defense financial processes.
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, compliance capabilities, records management, and DoD Microsoft 365 tenant governance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse, SQL, and relational database design.
- Experience developing technical documentation and training materials for government users.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Maryland, ITC Defense is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Maryland and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top end of the range, but such a decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $95,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.
