Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and hazard-free environment within the warehouse. Maintains high levels of sanitation by accurately and efficiently completing cleaning assignments in the assigned areas.
Essential Functions:
- Vacuums, sweeps, and mops floors and stairs
- Washing and cleaning totes
- Operates floor sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms
- Cleans sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms
- Restocks supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas
- Empties all trash cans and replaces liners, cleans receptacles as necessary
- Dusts and cleans office desks and furniture
- Maintains janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner
- Maintains janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition
- Accurately labels, dilutes and uses all chemicals
- Wears proper personal protective equipment at all times
- Maintains Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents
- Follows all safety rules and procedures
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
At least 1 year of experience as a sanitation/janitorial worker in a warehouse environment
Good working history and references
OSHA knowledge preferred
Educational Requirements:
High school education or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing and walking for extend period of times
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, balancing, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work in a multi-temperature environment including Freezer and Cooler areas
