We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Restaurant Server to join our Food & Beverage team at DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend.

Our Servers play an important role in creating a welcoming dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, attentive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment while working closely with the culinary and Food & Beverage teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.

- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system.

- Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy and proper presentation.

- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, ingredients, and available beverages.

- Make recommendations and use suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience.

- Check on guests throughout their dining experience and respond promptly to requests.

- Process guest checks and payments accurately.

- Pre-bus, clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables as needed.

- Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties.

- Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas.

- Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary team members, and management.

- Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, Hilton brand, and company standards.

- Assist with banquet, restaurant, or other Food & Beverage operations as business needs require.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant, hotel, or customer service experience preferred.

- Strong communication and guest service skills.

- Professional, friendly, and positive attitude.

- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

- Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry trays and service items.

- Must meet applicable age and certification requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.

Schedule

This position requires flexible availability based on hotel business needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Morning, evening, and/or varying shifts may be scheduled.
