Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Employment Law Attorney looking for work or better pay. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal counsel on employment-related matters, representing clients in employment disputes, drafting policies, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. This role offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of employment issues, including workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, and employee rights. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, a thorough understanding of employment statutes, and excellent client communication abilities.

Duties

- Advise clients on employment law compliance, including federal, state, and local regulations

- Represent clients in employment litigation cases such as discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination

- Draft and review employment policies, contracts, severance agreements, and settlement documents

- Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to employment issues

- Prepare for and participate in court depositions, hearings, and trials

- Negotiate settlements and facilitate dispute resolution between employers and employees

- Manage legal case files efficiently using case management software

- Provide training sessions to clients on workplace rights and legal obligations

- Stay current with developments in employment law through continuous research and professional development

Skills

- Extensive knowledge of employment law case experience and statutory legal research methods

- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively in court proceedings

- Experience with related areas such as labor law, workers' compensation law, family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, estate planning, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, general & commercial litigation

- Excellent legal writing skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and client communications

- Familiarity with procedural law knowledge and trial preparation techniques

- Ability to handle complex litigation cases involving personal injury cases or employment disputes

- Competence in legal case management systems for organizing case documents and tracking deadlines

- Effective research skills utilizing Westlaw or LexisNexis platforms

- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues

- Prior experience working in a law office environment is preferred
