About this role

Position Summary: The Facility Supervisor gives directions to all departments on second shift as needed. In addition to maintaining quality, production, and safety targets, for all areas the Facility Supervisor will also maintain attendance records for their direct reports. Instill positive team building and maintain effective communication with associates.

Position Responsibilities:

- Monitor department productivity and efficiency daily and make improvements as needed to improve.

- Supervise shift Leads and any other direct reports.

- Prioritize production schedule for minimum downtime and maximum quality, priority, and efficiency as required.

- Monitor quality goals and review quality issues daily with associates.

- Review of daily and weekly production reports for department

- Review production requirements with all shifts and follow-up to ensure work orders and schedules are completed in a timely fashion.

- Ensure daily that all samples and prioritized work orders are scheduled/finished in a timely manner.

- Work with other departments to keep good workflow.

- Maintain material inventory, glues, chemicals, supplies.

- Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory in conjunction with the maintenance department.

- Work with Finishing Technical Manager and Finishing Manager on quality concerns, ensuring that product is Finished in accordance with procedures.

- Communicate quality issues with other department managers and management team.

- Perform in-process testing.

- Calibrate pH equipment weekly.

- Maintain in-process production forms/sheets/logs.

- Verify weekly cleaning of machinery, review procedures, and logs.

- May be required to work different daily schedules at times to train and interact with associates on other shifts.

- Maintain time keeping system and monitor attendance of direct reports.

- Keep a safe workplace and report unsafe areas.

- Fill in for section leaders and other positions as needed.

- Keep the department clean, neat, and organized.

- Any other duties as assigned by Manager.

Role Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:

- Must have prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Must be forklift and tugger certified.

- Must be a certified instructor for the forklifts and tuggers.

- Technical abilities and knowledge

Education requirements:

- High School diploma or GED

Reporting to This Position: All hourly second shift positions including Operators, Leads and Assistants in Hot Melt/Knit Frame/Woven Frame/Slitter/Warehouse/Receiving/Maintenance/Knitting and Inspection.
