Position Summary

The Room Attendant is responsible for delivering a clean, safe, comfortable, and Guest Ready room experience for every guest, every stay. The Room Attendant protects guest satisfaction, brand standards, guest safety, and hotel reputation through attention to detail, ownership, teamwork, and consistent execution.

This role serves as a steward of guest trust by ensuring every assigned room meets Wilson Hospitality and brand standards before being occupied by a guest.

This position executes through five core responsibilities while consistently meeting The Bar for Focus, Mission, Kindness, Clean-Clean, Efficiency, and Excellent Attitude.

- Clean assigned guest rooms according to brand standards.

- Remove soiled linen and replace linen and terry as required.

- Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms.

- Dust, vacuum, and maintain all room furnishings and fixtures.

- Ensure guest amenities and furniture are properly placed.

- Inspect personal work before considering a room complete.

- Report maintenance concerns immediately.

5. Protect Standards, Safety, and Sanitation

- Follow all housekeeping procedures.

- Follow all OSHA, safety, and company standards.

- Follow lost-and-found procedures.

- Report suspicious activity immediately.

- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.

- Clean and service assigned guestrooms.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

- Reliable attendance and dependable transportation.

- Ability to follow procedures and checklists.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.

- Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred

- Previous housekeeping experience.

- Previous hotel experience.

- Experience with Hilton, IHG, Marriott, Wyndham, or similar lodging brands.

A successful Room Attendant consistently demonstrates:

- Rooms are cleaned correctly the first time.

- Guest rooms consistently meet inspection standards.

Physical Requirements

- Stand and walk for the majority of the shift.

- Push and pull housekeeping carts.

- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach repeatedly throughout the shift.

- Work in a fast-paced hotel environment.

- Maintain performance throughout demanding occupancy periods.
