Job Title: Civil Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our team, where you will have the opportunity to design portions of civil engineering projects with growing independence. You will perform engineering calculations, utilize engineering catalogs to specify components and materials, and instruct drafters in translating designs into completed drawings. Your role will also involve conducting research, preparing technical opinions or reports, and using engineering software to solve routine design problems. You will support task budgeting under the supervision of a Project Manager, follow company safety protocols, and take on increasing responsibilities as your experience and skills develop.
Responsibilities
- Design portions of civil engineering projects independently.
- Perform engineering calculations using standard formulas and tools.
- Utilize engineering catalogs to specify components and materials.
- Instruct drafters on translating designs into completed drawings.
- Conduct research and prepare technical opinions or reports.
- Use engineering software to solve routine design problems.
- Support task budgeting under the supervision of a Project Manager.
- Follow company safety protocols and procedures.
- Take on increasing responsibility as experience and skills develop.
- Perform other related work as apparent or assigned.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Interest in Site Design/Land Development.
- Knowledge of Drainage and Grading.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D.
- EIT certification.

- Proficiency in engineering software tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a Permanent position based out of Stamford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401k, Medical, Dental, Gym Membership reimbursement, PTO, Holiday
