About this role
The service production manager is the driving force of the shop. Identifying obstacles and opportunity and capitalizing on both. The ideal candidate will process daily challenges while moving the shop forward in day-to-day business.
Responsibilities
- Keep Technicians on task and motivated
- Help Warranty Administrator and Advisors with needed answers to get Repair Orders final closed
- Monitor and manage Up-time Alert report daily
- Make simple repairs on guests vehicles
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly hours goals
- Oversee Fix It Right The First Time contributing factors
- Oversee No Problem Found and Comeback processes
- Personally quality check and or road test the work performed on every vehicle with a major repair, or work performed by an inexperienced technician and all work that is classified could not duplicate , no Problem Found", Comeback, or Retest
- Coordinate incoming, in progress and outgoing work too meet promise times and customer expectations
- Assign work to technicians according to skill level and vehicle priority
- Implement and maintain an effective dispatch schedule, and technician assignments log/route sheet
- Keep management updated on shop status and carryovers
- Provide estimates for repair costs and time frames for the used car managers
- Coordinate internal technicians work flow
- Other Tasks as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Adhere to personal appearance and dress code as stated in the employee handbook.
