Quality Assurance Technician

Day Shift | Offers Benefits | Long-Term Opportunity Join our team as a Quality Assurance Technician, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the products our customers receive meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. In this hands-on role, you'll work closely with production teams to monitor processes, perform inspections and testing, maintain compliance documentation, and help drive a culture of excellence throughout our manufacturing facility. ## What You'll Do:
Inspect finished products and in-process materials to verify compliance with quality, food safety, and customer specifications. Conduct routine production floor audits to ensure proper product composition, packaging, labeling, coding, storage, and handling practices. Complete and review quality assurance documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Perform scheduled compliance checks, including weight verification, case inspections, label reviews, coding validation, and customer-required testing. Monitor daily facility activities and document findings to support food safety and quality standards. Conduct pre-operational inspections, environmental monitoring, swabbing activities, chemical testing, product testing, and glass inspections. Identify, investigate, and communicate quality concerns or food safety risks, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions. Manage product hold procedures for out-of-specification materials and ensure accurate communication of product status. Create and document defective material reports for supplier-related quality concerns. Maintain product retain samples and assist with investigations, trend analysis, and root-cause identification. Support customer and sales sample programs by preparing, tracking, and documenting sample requests. Enter and maintain laboratory and production data with a high level of accuracy and organization.
### Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
