As a Transportation Operations Intern at Roadtex, you will work closely with our transportation team to assist in the daily operations of the transportation business . This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in logistics, inventory management, and warehouse processes. You will contribute to process design and documentation, transportation reporting , maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring that our products are stored and distributed efficiently.

Responsibilities & Job Duties

- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels, conducting stock counts, and updating records in the warehouse management system.
- Receiving and Shipping: Help with receiving incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and inspecting the quality of goods. Assist in preparing and packing orders for shipment.
- Process Design and Documentation:  Work with transportation leadership to outline and design a process.  Then document in a Standard Operating Procedure and implement with through various level of the operation.
- Quality Control: Assist in checking products for defects or discrepancies and ensuring that all products meet quality standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist in optimizing storage layouts for efficient operations.
- Data Entry: Update inventory records, order details, and shipment information in the system.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse.

Requirements

- Must be able to start May 24th, 2027 and complete the entire 10 week program
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Able to work in our Woodridge facility 5 days a week and travel to the Echo Chicago headquarters as needed
