Geotechnical Engineer / Office Lead

Job Description We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to lead an office location while managing a variety of geotechnical engineering projects across the public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial sectors. This individual will serve as both a technical leader and client-facing representative, overseeing projects from proposal development through final deliverables. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer with strong geotechnical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to support business growth and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

- Lead office operations and support the growth of the local geotechnical practice.
- Prepare proposals and scopes of work for prospective projects.
- Manage geotechnical investigations and engineering projects from start to finish.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, technical letters, and project addendums.
- Perform geotechnical analyses and develop engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate field activities, laboratory testing, and project teams.
- Maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering and field staff.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Experience preparing geotechnical reports and client proposals.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Previous leadership or office management experience is preferred.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
