Schedule
Full Time 36 hours per week; 3 12hour shifts per week; every third weekend
General Summary
Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in the care of patients, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associates Degree Medical Assisting Preferred or
- Diploma Program Medical Assisting Preferred
Work Experience:
- 1 year Medical Assistance experience. Required or
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program. Required
Licenses:
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
- Certified Medical Assistant Upon Hire Preferred
Courses and Training:
- Completes all required education programs and competency testing needed to perform at an advanced level. Upon Hire Required and
- Medical terminology Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal/communications skills
- Models team work
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Able to work independently
- Must type 30 wpm with less than 4% error rate
