Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage billing, processing, and collection of statement accounts. This role involves direct communication with Studio Owners to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate account management.
Responsibilities
- Resolve incoming calls with Studio Owners regarding billing questions or concerns.
- Provide up-to-date balances and process refunds as needed.
- Review and process Co-Op advertising invoices daily, maintaining accurate files.
- Prepare and audit debit and credit items from other departments, ensuring accuracy before end-of-day transmission.
- Contact Studio Owners with accounts 31-60+ days past due.
- Assist Studio Owners with non-technical issues related to EDC terminals.
- Set up accounts for new and transfer Studios and update billing for monthly fees.
- Update status codes on Syspro database and prepare account history for 30-day notices of default.
- Complete any other projects or duties as assigned to help the company meet its goals.
Essential Skills
- Experience in collections, accounts receivable, and cash application.
- Proficiency in customer service, collection calls, and data entry in Excel.
- Knowledge of credit and debit notes and the Syspro database.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- College degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in a manufacturing business.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
- Fluency in English with strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic math operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Internet savvy for UCC filings and processing NDA labels and shipment tracking.
- Ability to learn and use internal software systems efficiently.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Westchester. Candidates have the option to work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM as needed. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with a well-established company. The ideal candidate should be a hardworking, quick learner willing to handle high-volume calls.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
