Join the City of South Jordan as a Criminal Investigative Analyst!

The City of South Jordan Police Department is hiring a Full-Time Criminal Investigative Analyst to support criminal investigations through intelligence analysis, digital evidence review, research, and information sharing.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze criminal intelligence from police reports, criminal databases, social media, intelligence centers, and other authorized sources
- Identify trends, patterns, associations, and investigative leads that support criminal investigations and crime prevention efforts
- Prepare intelligence reports, summaries, analytical products, and briefings for detectives, officers, supervisors, prosecutors, and partner agencies
- Perform digital forensic downloads and review digital evidence in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and investigative procedures
- Maintain and audit law-enforcement databases and help ensure appropriate access and use
- Provide training and updates on database use, intelligence resources, legislative changes, and investigative procedures
- Coordinate with law-enforcement and intelligence partners to exchange authorized information and support investigations
- Maintain confidential records and sensitive criminal-justice information while ensuring information is shared only with authorized individuals

Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- At least two years of related analytical, administrative, criminal justice, research, or law-enforcement experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Law-enforcement experience preferred
- Must obtain Bureau of Criminal Identification certification within six months of hire
- Must obtain Digital Forensic Download certification within twelve months of hire
