Receptionist / Front Office Administrator
About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist / Front Office Administrator to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, vendors, and customers. In this role, you will help create a welcoming office environment while providing administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is not a high-volume call center or receptionist position. Instead, the focus is on maintaining a professional front office presence, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting basic office administration.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors, employees, and guests in a professional manner
- Manage lobby traffic and direct visitors to the appropriate contact or department
- Answer basic inquiries and provide assistance as needed
- Distribute incoming mail and organize documents and records
- Scan, file, and maintain office documentation
- Order and track office supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Support general administrative tasks to assist office operations
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a receptionist, administrative support, customer service, hospitality, retail, or similar customer-facing role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
- Experience using Outlook, Teams, and email communication tools
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a front desk, office, hospitality, or corporate environment
- Experience interacting with visitors, customers, vendors, and employees
- Internship or administrative experience demonstrating strong communication and organizational skills
- Recent graduates with relevant customer service or office experience are encouraged to apply
Work Environment
- Fully onsite position in a professional office setting
- Business casual work environment
- Consistent daytime schedule, Monday through Friday
- Low-volume reception area with occasional periods of increased visitor activity
- Frequent interaction with employees, customers, vendors, and guests

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
