Director of Clinical Quality - Supportive Housing for Families (Middletown)

Location: Middletown

Salary : $75,000-80,000/year

Schedule : Full Time, 40 hours, 1 st shift, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Family Support Services, the Director of Family Support Services provides high‑level oversight, leadership, and operational management of a diverse range of family‑centered programs. The Director ensures the delivery of trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and outcomes‑driven services across case management, supportive housing, parenting support, residential, and recovery programs. Responsibilities include supervising assigned clinical staff and clinical interns, maintaining regulatory compliance (COA, DPH, DMHAS, DCF, funder-specific requirements), overseeing workflow systems, ensuring quality assurance, supporting program growth, developing community partnerships, and advancing organizational strategic priorities. This position ensures program fidelity, consistent staff supervision, operational excellence, and integrated service coordination across all Family Support Services programs.

Working within our Family & Child Services, the Director of Clinical Quality works with the Supportive Housing for Families staff to provide services to stabilize and reunite families experiencing complex issues such as substance use, behavioral health matters, and homelessness.

Requirements:

- Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in family services, housing, behavioral health, or related human services programs.

- Minimum 2 years supervising staff or overseeing program operations.

- Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) strongly preferred.

- Experience with DMHAS, DCF or similar state/federal partners.

- Training in trauma‑informed practice, harm reduction, family systems, and evidence‑based practices

- Fluency in electronic documentation platforms.

Orientation:

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
