Role Overview
The EHS Coordinator supports the companys environmental, health, and safety programs by keeping documentation organized, coordinating compliance activities, and helping ensure employees follow workplace safety requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Working closely with the Safety and Training teams while reporting directly to the Director of Safety, the duties will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for efficient recordkeeping of all construction group safety and training data, providing general administrative support to all members of the Safety department. Collects and enters information form operating units such as internal inspection/audit results, accident and training information, using Safety Culture software systems.
- Creates and maintains system for organization and retention of files that support data base information including the storage and retention of app data.
- Initiates the timely reporting and maintenance of information related to employee accidents including OSHA logs and state reporting utilizing GenSuite software systems.
- Maintains updates and distributes materials and resources used for training field personnel.
- Enters data, creates reports, and assigns online courses using the company Learning Management System and Training Tracker application.
- Acts as liaison between locations to facilitate and implement safety and training requirements.
- Assists Safety Team with periodic metric reports, incident notification reports, intercompany notifications, presentations, travel arrangement assistance and expense report assistance, as needed.
- Creates and distributes monthly Safety Scorecards for all locations.
- Provides oversight and assistance to District Admins in keeping Safety Culture active seats current and accurate.
- Track completion and scores for Safety Improvement Assessment Program.
- Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–3 years of administrative, clerical, or coordination experience
- Strong data entry and recordkeeping skills
- Experience maintaining electronic and paper files
- Advanced command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and utilizing a variety of business software systems.
- Ability to track training, certifications, inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to coordinate meetings, training sessions, inspections, and appointments
- Comfortable communicating with employees, supervisors, vendors, and management
- Ability to prepare reports, spreadsheets, logs, and presentations
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Familiarity with OSHA/EHS terminology or willingness to learn
- Must be able to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
- Highly developed organizational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to formulate practical and operational friendly solutions to a myriad of business challenges.
