Job Title: Calibration Technician Job Description
Join an exciting opportunity to support the commissioning, startup, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing expansion in Holly Springs, NC. This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in calibration, instrumentation, metrology, I&E, maintenance, or related technical fields, seeking hands-on experience in a GMP pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform process calibrations on temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, and pH instrumentation.
- Support equipment startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Conduct loop checks, loop calibrations, and troubleshoot instrumentation and manufacturing equipment.
- Work with 4-20mA transmitters, process instrumentation, and utility systems.
- Complete calibration records, maintenance documentation, and ensure GMP-compliant paperwork.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, technical drawings, and instrumentation documentation.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, metrology, I&E, maintenance, military technical, or a related field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment or instrumentation.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work in diverse environments such as manufacturing, industrial, military, pharmaceutical, biotech, food & beverage, or utilities.
- Familiarity with pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity, pH, loop checks, or transmitters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A two-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military training.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment: GMP, Nuclear, Military, FDA regulated, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage.
- Expanded understanding of calibration concepts, including Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy and Uncertainty Ratios.
- Basic understanding of GMP's and Life Science Industry regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical panel safety practices.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite role within a construction setting at a greenfield site, characterized by a significant construction presence. Candidates must be aware of the environment's safety and awareness requirements. After six months, consultants become eligible for a company car and gas card, along with merit and performance bonuses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $50.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
