Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Job description

- Design, build, optimize, and maintain scalable cloud-based data platforms.
- Architecture and manage data warehouse environments, including databases, schemas, roles, and data-sharing capabilities.
- Develop and optimize data models, and establish data governance, security and data quality frameworks.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost efficiency.
- Integrate data from various sources, including enterprise systems, APIs, SaaS platforms, and third-party providers.
- Optimize data warehouse performance, query execution, and storage utilization.
- Implement data partitioning, clustering, caching, and workload management standards.
- Define and enforce security standards, access controls, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data platform performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or equivalent major.
- 3+ years of ex perience in data engineering, data warehousing or related fields.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts , with hands-on experience in Snowflake architecture , data modeling, and ETL/ELT development.
- Expertise in data governance, data security principles and best practices.
- Familiar with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure services.
- Strong SQL development skills for complex querying, performance optimization and transformation logic.
- Effective communication in English (intermediate level and above) and Vietnamese.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred qualifications: SnowPro Core, SnowPro Specility, or SnowPro Advanced certification.
