About this role

Accountabilities:

- Act as the primary point of contact, trusted advisor, and deal advocate throughout the research, proposal, negotiation, bid management, and closure stages of complex enterprise opportunities.

- Support high-touch transactions while coordinating activities across sales teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.

- Establish, maintain, and regularly update project plans, milestones, timelines, and deliverables for active deals.

- Guide deal teams in developing commercially sound and supportable transaction structures that meet customer needs and business objectives.

- Coordinate closely with Legal, Finance, Revenue Recognition, Business Models, Order Fulfillment, and Operations teams.

- Identify non-standard business models, operational requirements, commercial risks, and potential process issues.

- Escalate complex risks and exceptions to the appropriate stakeholders and help drive them toward resolution.

- Work hands-on with cross-functional teams to resolve complex situations and manage escalations.

- Shepherd transactions through required approval processes while maintaining compliance throughout the deal lifecycle.

- Ensure the right stakeholders are engaged at the right time to support effective decision-making and deal execution.

- Help improve sales efficiency and effectiveness by creating structure and clarity around complex transactions.

- Support the development and execution of deal strategies that balance revenue and profitability objectives with customer satisfaction.

- Facilitate communication between sales teams and business functions to maintain alignment throughout negotiations and approvals.

- Monitor transaction progress and proactively identify obstacles that could affect timelines or successful closure.

- Contribute to consistent deal-management practices and effective collaboration across the broader commercial organization.

Requirements:

- 3+ years of experience in a Deal Desk, Deal Operations, Sales Support, Sales Operations, Sales Contracts, or similar role.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial decision-making.

- Ability to influence decisions with consideration for revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and sound business practices.

- Strong presentation, written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.

- Results-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership and drive work through completion.

- Ability to execute quickly and remain effective in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders.

- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to business and customer needs.

- Ability to navigate complex situations, identify risks, and coordinate appropriate resolutions.

- Experience supporting sales teams, managing transactions, or performing other transferable commercial operations responsibilities.

- Understanding of sales processes, contract management, deal structuring, revenue recognition, and revenue forecasting is preferred.

- Experience in software or IT environments, particularly SaaS or cloud technologies, is preferred.

- Familiarity with CRM and CPQ platforms such as Salesforce and Anaplan is preferred.

- Academic background in business, administration, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.

- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working across functional teams.

- Willingness to travel occasionally, with travel expected to remain below 10%.

- U.S.-based starting salary range of $99,000–$176,660, depending on experience and geographic location; offers may exceed this range.
