Job Description

Location:  Geraldton Port
Roster:  4 Days, 4 Nights, 4 Off
Hourly Rate:  $54.39 per hour + Superannuation + Bonus
Shift Length : 12 Hours
Type:  Full-time Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our Port Logistics team based at Geraldton Port on a permanent basis. In this role you will operate loaders to handle iron ore, supporting receival, stockpile management and ship loading activities. This role plays a key part in keeping product flowing efficiently through our on-wharf facilities, contributing to a high-performing export operation while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

- Experience working in confined-space shed environments and managing ore stockpiles.
- Ability to perform under pressure and in varying environmental conditions.
- Knowledge of and commitment to complying with Australian Federal Laws and Western Australia state laws and regulations. 
- Good record-keeping, which is essential for compliance purposes.
- Ability to carry out routine maintenance to mobile plant, and report faults.
- Ability to follow strict workplace and safety procedures & have an ongoing commitment to safe work practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.

Skills and Experience Required

- Valid and current Drivers Licence
- Verification of competency (VOC) for Front-End Wheel Loader (FEL).
- Relevant VOC’s for other machinery operations.
- Applicants must hold a current National Police Clearance or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
