About this role

Accountabilities:

- Define and evolve the visual identity across packaging, retail, ecommerce, social, photography, partnerships, and experiential channels.

- Translate brand strategy and go-to-market priorities into compelling creative concepts and scalable visual systems.

- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines as new products, categories, partnerships, and channels are introduced.

- Lead creative reviews and provide clear, actionable feedback that elevates the quality and consistency of the work.

- Stay hands-on by personally conceptualizing, designing, refining, and productionizing high-priority creative projects.

- Develop packaging, retail displays, point-of-sale materials, product mockups, ecommerce assets, launch materials, event assets, and partnership creative.

- Oversee artwork through final production, including dielines, production-ready files, digital and print proofs, and revisions.

- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and external production partners to ensure creative is accurate, compliant, and production-ready.

- Lead visual development for new SKUs, flavors, formats, categories, and brand partnerships.

- Develop packaging concepts that balance brand consistency, shelf impact, product communication, and consumer appeal.

- Guide creative across retail, direct-to-consumer, Amazon, TikTok Shop, and other ecommerce channels.

- Oversee product detail pages, shippers, displays, endcaps, signage, shelf communication, and other retail materials.

- Establish visual direction for product photography, lifestyle imagery, and campaign content.

- Develop creative briefs and provide art direction for photographers and external creative partners.

- Guide AI-generated product and lifestyle imagery while maintaining visual consistency and quality.

- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging creative technologies and AI tools to improve creative output and team efficiency.

- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of brand and digital designers through regular reviews and one-on-ones.

- Prioritize workloads and allocate projects according to business needs, timelines, and team strengths.

- Support hiring, portfolio reviews, onboarding, and ongoing development of creative talent.

- Improve creative workflows, briefing processes, organization, and production standards as the team grows.

- Partner cross-functionally to manage multiple launches and deliver high-quality creative within fast-moving timelines.

Requirements:

- 7+ years of professional design experience, ideally within CPG, food and beverage, beauty, wellness, lifestyle, or another highly visual consumer category.

- 2+ years of experience providing art direction or leading designers.

- An exceptional portfolio demonstrating both strong conceptual thinking and hands-on design execution.

- Deep experience in packaging and print design, including dielines, production artwork, prepress, proofing, and collaboration with production partners.

- Experience designing for retail environments, including POS materials, displays, shippers, endcaps, and signage.

- Strong understanding of ecommerce and digital design, including product detail pages, campaign assets, and omnichannel launches.

- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

- Exceptional typography, layout, composition, color, and visual storytelling skills.

- Experience directing photography and working with external creative partners.

- Comfort using, or strong interest in adopting, AI-powered creative tools as part of modern design workflows.

- Ability to move fluidly between high-level creative direction and detailed production execution.

- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and launches simultaneously.

- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to mentor designers while remaining actively involved in the creative work.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and new products, channels, and creative challenges emerge.
