The Opportunity

As a Project Management Intern, you will support Project Managers and Engineering Managers in driving the execution of large-scale initiatives that power Sysco ʼ s digital commerce experiences. You will play a key role in maintaining healthy delivery processes, ensuring Jira and reporting hygiene, supporting Scrum ceremonies, and contributing to clear, accurate , and well - structured documentation in Confluence. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with data and tools, and is eager to gain hands-on exposure to Agile delivery, project governance, and cross functional coordination within a global engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

- Support ing Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives

- Assist ing in tracking sprint commitments and maintaining the commitment ratio health

- Monitor ing and report ing on key Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time

- Ensur ing Jira boards are accurate , up to date, and aligned with agreed workflows

- Act ing as a process facilitator and tooling coordinator for Jira and related systems

- Tak ing meeting minutes during key discussions and proactively follow ing up on action items

- Maintain ing reporting dashboards and delivery trackers

- Support ing risk, dependency, and action item tracking

- Assist ing in preparing stakeholder updates and status reports

- Maintain ing structured and up-to-date documentation in Confluence

- Identify ing opportunities to improve delivery processes and team efficiency

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Project Management, Engineering, IT, Information Systems, Business, or a related field

- A b asic understanding of Agile and Scrum principles ( knowledge of frameworks promoted by Scrum Alliance is a plus)

- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence

- A g ood working knowledge of Excel, and ability to work systematically with multiple tools and data sources (e.g., working with spreadsheets, validating statuses, cross-checking data across systems)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- High attention to detail and accountability

- Strong analytical and organizational skills

- The a bility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Proactive and curious mindset: willing to ask questions, propose improvements, and own follow-ups
