Overview
Our Australian client is seeking a skilled Data Analytics Support Specialist to support their team in delivering accurate and high-quality analytics for renewable energy projects. The role focuses on Photovoltaics (PV) , Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) , and Wind power plants , ensuring reliable data validation, KPI monitoring, and client reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and apply established processes, templates, and procedures provided by the Australian team.
- Validate automated data exclusions and apply manual exclusions when needed.
- Manage site- and component-level event exclusions/inclusions and ensure accuracy of event details within the internal ticketing system.
- Perform sanity checks on standard KPI calculations and client-specific contractual KPI results.
- Conduct initial debugging and investigation of data or KPI-related issues.
- Prepare and generate client reports across multiple formats (Power BI, Word, PCF, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with the Australian team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analytics outputs.
Required Proficiencies
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI .
- Proficiency in at least one programming language ( Python or VBA preferred ).
- Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) .
Knowledge & Experience
- Understanding of Solar Power Plants and solar energy fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) .
- Familiarity with Wind power generation concepts is an advantage.
- Experience handling time-series data analytics for power stations, including:
Active power, reactive power, voltage, frequency
- Control schemes and performance assessments (theoretical vs. actual outputs)
