SAP SOM Technical Solution Architect

Accountabilities:

- Lead the technical solution design for SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM).

- Define the overall SOM technical architecture in alignment with business and technical requirements.

- Design solutions for subscription order orchestration and end-to-end order processing.

- Develop and guide product modeling approaches within the SOM landscape.

- Design and oversee master data integration across relevant SAP and enterprise systems.

- Ensure seamless integration between SOM and downstream SAP BRIM components.

- Analyze technical dependencies between SOM, BRIM, and connected systems.

- Establish scalable and maintainable integration and solution patterns.

- Translate functional requirements into detailed technical solution designs.

- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance throughout solution implementation.

- Identify potential integration, performance, and architecture challenges and develop appropriate solutions.

- Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to validate proposed architectures.

- Support alignment between SOM solution components and broader enterprise architecture standards.

- Review technical designs and ensure consistency across the solution landscape.

- Contribute to documentation of architecture, integrations, interfaces, and technical decisions.

- Provide technical expertise throughout the delivery lifecycle to help ensure successful implementation.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience designing and architecting SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) solutions.

- Strong understanding of SAP SOM architecture and technical solution design principles.

- Experience with subscription order orchestration and related order management processes.

- Strong knowledge of product modeling within SAP environments.

- Experience designing and managing master data integrations.

- Strong understanding of SAP BRIM and its downstream components.

- Experience integrating SOM with SAP BRIM and related enterprise systems.

- Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into scalable technical architectures.

- Strong systems integration and solution architecture skills.

- Experience evaluating technical dependencies and designing end-to-end integration approaches.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work effectively with both technical and functional stakeholders.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural concepts clearly.

- Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership in a remote delivery environment.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing maintainable, well-documented solutions.

- Ability to support a long-term technical engagement through design, implementation, and delivery activities.
