About this role

Role Overview

The Senior Finance Manager – Brazil will lead the finance function across SiGMA’s Brazilian operations, covering two legal entities operating in events and affiliate/media.

The role will act as the key bridge between the Brazil finance team and Group Finance in Europe, ensuring strong local financial management , Brazilian tax compliance, accurate IFRS reporting and effective financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the Brazil finance team across both legal entities.

- Act as the main finance liaison between Brazil and Group Finance in Europe.

- Own the monthly close, management accounts, balance sheet, cash flow and reporting process.

- Ensure Brazilian accounting records are appropriately aligned and reconciled for IFRS and Group consolidation purposes.

- Oversee Brazilian tax and statutory compliance, working closely with external accountants, auditors and tax advisers.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cash flow planning.

- Provide financial oversight and profitability analysis for the events business, including event budgets, revenue, costs and margins.

- Oversee financial reporting and revenue performance for the affiliate/media business.

- Monitor working capital, collections, payments and funding requirements.

- Maintain and improve financial controls, accounting processes and reporting procedures.

- Ensure accurate accounting records and reconciliations within Xero.

- Proactively identify financial, tax or operational risks and escalate material issues to Group Finance.

Candidate Profile

Essential

- Strong finance/accounting experience in Brazil.

- Strong understanding of Brazilian tax and statutory accounting requirements.

- Good working knowledge of IFRS.

- Experience working within an international or multinational group.

- Experience managing a finance team and taking ownership of month-end reporting.

- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis skills.

- Fluent/professional Portuguese and English.

- Strong Excel skills.

Preferred

- Experience with
Xero.

- Experience with events, affiliate/media, digital, technology or another fast-paced international business.

- Experience reporting Brazilian entities into an international Group consolidation.

- Experience with cross-border and intercompany transactions.
