Early Childhood Educator / Pedagogical Professional
Norlandia Daycare ASH in Wassenaar is located within the Early Childhood Center of the American School of The Hague . This English-speaking childcare center is open 37 weeks per year for children aged 0 to 4 years . Our opening days align with the school's holidays and scheduled days off. Whenever the weather allows, we love spending time outdoors and enjoying some fresh air in our own garden.
PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING – Qualification Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the Dutch qualification requirements to work in childcare.
If you have obtained your diploma outside the Netherlands, it is essential that your qualification is officially assessed and, where required, recognized for working in Dutch childcare. A general assessment stating that your diploma is comparable to Dutch HBO level is not necessarily sufficient to work as a qualified childcare professional.

Your New Role as an Early Childhood Educator
You:
- Hold a recognized qualification that allows you to work in childcare and can provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) .

- A salary within Scale 6 of the Dutch Childcare Collective Labour Agreement (CAO Kinderopvang) . Based on a 36-hour workweek, the gross monthly salary ranges from €2,681 to €3,684 , depending on your experience.
- An initial one-year contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract thereafter.

As an Early Childhood Educator (or, as we prefer to call it, a Pedagogical Professional ), you create an environment where children feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves. You encourage curiosity, exploration, and discovery, giving children the confidence to learn through experience.
