About this role
As a Senior Java Microservices & GCP Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications using Java and Spring Boot. You will collaborate with architects, product teams, and platform engineers to build scalable and resilient solutions while implementing modern DevOps and GitOps practices. The role requires expertise in Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, SonarQube, and CI/CD solutions such as Tekton, Cloud Build, and Argo CD. You will contribute to enterprise-scale deployment pipelines and help establish engineering standards that improve software quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices architectures.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, orchestration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Tekton, Cloud Build, and Argo CD.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including relational database design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience using SonarQube for code quality analysis, security scanning, and governance.
- Knowledge of software design principles, application scalability, and resilience patterns.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Experience implementing GitOps methodologies.
- Exposure to cloud security and infrastructure automation practices.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise-scale platform engineering practices.
