Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description This Pharmacy Technician position offers an excellent entry point into an up-and-coming mail order pharmacy environment, with no prior experience required. You operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment, prepare and package medications with precision and care, and perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and safety. You follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations while collaborating with a supportive team to deliver high-quality service to patients. Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment in a mail order pharmacy setting.
- Prepare and package medications with precision, care, and strict adherence to prescription details.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure medication accuracy, safety, and compliance.
- Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and other team members to provide efficient and accurate service.
- Support customer service activities to ensure a positive experience for patients and clients.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including organization of inventory and supplies.
- Participate in shipping and receiving processes for medications and related products.
- Contribute to warehouse shipping, distribution, and fulfillment activities as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and all sensitive data.
- Manage time effectively to meet daily production and quality targets.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals.
- Stand for extended periods, including full 8-hour shifts, while performing job duties.

Essential Skills

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligibility for or possession of a Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license (can be obtained upon hire; registration information provided through the Kentucky pharmacy gateway).
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate medication preparation and dispensing.
- Solid organizational skills for managing tasks, inventory, and workflow.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and production goals.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and pharmacy information.
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform repetitive tasks safely.
- Capability to follow written procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Customer service experience, particularly in a retail or pharmacy setting, is beneficial.
- Background in retail pharmacy operations is an advantage.
- Experience in warehouse environments, including warehouse operation and warehouse distribution, is helpful.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including warehouse shipping activities, is preferred.
- Exposure to fulfillment operations in a distribution or mail order environment is a plus.
- Interest in growing a career within a mail order pharmacy setting.

Work Environment You work in a modern mail order pharmacy and warehouse environment that combines pharmacy operations with distribution and fulfillment activities. The role involves operating automated dispensing equipment, handling packaged medications, and participating in shipping and receiving processes. You typically work full-day shifts, such as 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and stand for most of the 8-hour shift while performing your duties. The setting is production-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance, and you collaborate with a supportive team in a structured, professional environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southgate, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
