Job Title: Quality Assurance Lab Technician Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Quality Assurance Lab Technician to test samples from each batch of product mixed, ensuring that each conforms to our standard. The role involves performing various laboratory tests and maintaining accurate records. You will be responsible for issuing defect slips, holding any products that do not meet accepted limits, rotating retained samples, and checking scales for accuracy. Adherence to all safety rules and regulations is mandatory, along with regular attendance, dependability, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Test samples from each batch according to the testing procedures manual.
- Perform various laboratory tests and maintain records.
- Issue defect slips and hold products not meeting accepted limits.
- Rotate retained samples.
- Record all checks and tests for future reference.
- Use QAD to print work orders for product mixing.
- Check scales for accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Ensure regular attendance and reliability.
- Apply ordinary care to prevent material losses or damages.
- Check every batch of product made.
- Check pre-shipment samples.
- Determine the level of rework and appropriate sugar washes to use in batches.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, comprising four 10-hour shifts from 6am to 4:30pm, with potential overtime of up to 5 hours. The work environment is a normal manufacturing setting, with potential exposure to dust, equipment movement hazards, and dangerous chemicals or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed. Employees may work in temperature extremes and damp conditions. Proper personal protective equipment is required. There is a risk of electrical shock, significant work pace/pressure, and exposure to allergens such as soy, dairy, egg, tree nuts, and wheat. Due to organoleptic testing, tobacco use is prohibited.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.37 - $20.37/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
