About this role

Job Title: Civil Engineer Job Description We are seeking a full-time Civil Engineer with experience or interest in water resources and environmental engineering. This role focuses on water, wastewater, and stormwater disciplines, encompassing projects such as treatment facilities, utility distribution, and stormwater and sanitary collection systems. Responsibilities

- Complete technical design, engineering calculations, and communication duties for diverse engineering projects, including treatment facilities, stormwater management, pump stations, and distribution/collection networks.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently to address challenges and develop solutions.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion.
- Coordinate with technical personnel to develop construction documents and specifications under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

Essential Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines such as Environmental Engineering.
- 0-4 years of relevant work experience.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
- Desire to build a career in water/wastewater or water resources.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Professional experience in engineering, even if unrelated to water resources, is a plus.
- Experience with modeling software like WaterCad, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ICPR, and design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D is encouraged but not required.
- Interest in obtaining Professional Engineer certification.
- Strong verbal and writing skills for effective communication with various stakeholders.

Work Environment The work hours are Monday to Thursday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday from 7 AM to 12 PM, with some flexibility. After 90 days, a hybrid work schedule is available, comprising 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The team consists of 10 members, including 2 CAD professionals and 8 engineers, both Professional Engineers (PEs) and Engineer Interns (EIs).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
