OVERVIEW:

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking Warehouse employees to join our distribution center team in Plainfield, Indiana.

Shift:

Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:45pm

Position Available:

Material Handler: $19.25/hr

- Responsible for changing equipment batteries.
- Maintains batteries, battery changing area, and informs manager of any battery issues.
- Follows daily Battery Changer Checklist.
- F ollow battery watering schedule.
- General maintenance of nets and fans using aerial equipment.
- Complete assigned preventive maintenance work orders.
- Assist with clearing of product jams on conveyor.
- Completes documentation neatly and accurately.
- Operates manual and mechanical equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Provides assistance to maintenance personnel when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must achieve equipment operator certification on the job and operate as necessary for the position
- Must be willing to be trained and operate radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment as necessary for the position
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull & lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to keep pace with production standards
- Basic reading comprehension and numerical reasoning skills
- Manual dexterity
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- Basic English reading comprehension & numerical reasoning skills.
