Production Engineering Technician (CNC)

Job Description We are seeking a Production Engineering Technician to support CNC machining operations and continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for CNC programming and editing, troubleshooting machining processes, supporting quality improvements, and implementing process enhancements that improve cycle times, stability, and overall production performance. The Production Engineering Technician will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize machining operations, improve tool life, reduce production costs, and support ongoing operational excellence initiatives. This role requires a hands-on individual who enjoys problem solving, analyzing manufacturing processes, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities

- Perform CNC programming and program modifications to support production requirements.
- Troubleshoot machining processes and implement corrective actions.
- Adjust and repair machining fixtures to maintain production efficiency.
- Evaluate tooling performance and implement improvements to increase tool life and reduce costs.
- Investigate quality concerns and implement process countermeasures.
- Conduct cycle time studies and process improvement activities.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Support manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers.
- Create reports documenting improvement activities and project progress.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve workflow and manufacturing performance.
- Support production equipment adjustments related to process changes and operating conditions.
- Participate in engineering projects and manufacturing improvement initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Process Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- CNC programming experience required.
- Experience supporting machining operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of manufacturing workflows and production processes.
- Ability to analyze production data and make process improvement recommendations.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Experience using quality inspection equipment including calipers and micrometers.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
- Aluminum die casting experience is a plus.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of South Charleston, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $78000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401(k) company match up to 4%.
Tuition reimbursement available after two years of employment.

Hourly position with significant overtime opportunities available.
$0.66/hour attendance incentive pay.
