Compliance officer is responsible for providing high-quality compliance, AML, regulatory advisory and governance support to a portfolio of regulated financial services clients across the UAE and Qatar. The Compliance Officer / MLRO will support
the effective delivery of outsourced regulated services, help clients meet their ongoing regulatory obligations, and contribute to the development of strong compliance frameworks aligned with applicable DFSA, FSRA and QFCRA

Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
• Developing, implementing and maintaining effective compliance, AML, risk management and corporate
governance frameworks in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements;
• Drafting and maintaining compliance manuals, AML manuals, policies, procedures, client reports,
regulatory submissions and other required documentation;
• Preparing and delivering compliance, corporate governance, risk and AML training, including regulatory
onboarding support for clients and relevant stakeholders;
• Proactively monitoring changes and developments in relevant laws, regulations, rulebooks and
regulatory expectations, and providing clear updates to colleagues and clients;
• Representing clients’ interests in dealings with business partners, regulators and authorities across the
DIFC, ADGM and QFC, as appropriate;
• Managing client relationships, including maintaining accurate time records, communicating additional
time requirements, supporting billing and invoice-related matters, and ensuring high standards of
service delivery; and
• Supporting the Head & Director of Regulatory Services with the delivery of consulting projects and
regulated services engagements involving the DFSA, FSRA and QFCRA
Key Requirements
Job-specific requirements
• Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services regulatory concepts, compliance obligations
and AML/CFT requirements;
• Practical involvement in compliance, MLRO, AML and/or risk management functions, preferably within
a regulated financial services environment;
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues and senior stakeholders while maintaining
professional judgement and regulatory independence;
• Consulting and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage effectively with senior
management, directors, shareholders, auditors, regulators and authorities in a diplomatic and solution?focused manner; and
• High attention to detail, strong quality standards and the ability to manage competing client and
ob-specific skills
• 3–5 years’ relevant regulatory, compliance and AML experience, preferably gained within financial
services, consulting or a regulated environment;
• Previous registration with the DFSA or FSRA as Compliance Officer and/or MLRO is preferred;
• Excellent relationship management and client service skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear policies, reports,
regulatory correspondence and client-facing materials; and
• Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulated
services environment
