Guest Services Assistant Manager

The Guest Services Assistant Manager will act in the absence of the Guest Services Manager handling the day-to-day operations of the Admissions, Membership and Carousel departments. This will include managing 10+ staff on a day-to-day basis, handling policy/procedural issues, getting change for cashiers as needed, reacting to or calling safety codes, supervising the carousel, helping with group sales check-in, and more. The Assistant Manager will assist the Guest Services Manager with other duties as needed.

Knowledge Of:

- Strong guest service skills

- Knowledge of the KMIT system and Microsoft Office

- Experience with cash control and loss prevention

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Supervise a team of over 25 associates

- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and executed at a high level

- Respond to all safety codes that may arise during operating hours of the Center

- Participate in all safety procedures

- Help lead and oversee group visit check-in

- Assist with handling daily and weekly duties ensuring the team meets all deadlines

- Provide immediate feedback for small errors in performance like ticketing, cash reconciliation, carousel operations, etc.

- Lead and support projects that help grow the Guest Services Department

- Run daily morning meetings to make all staff aware of ongoing events and items of concern in the department

- Handle guest concerns when they rise above Guest Service Associates

- Support front-end Winter Wonderlights staffing; i.e. working shifts that last until 7:30pm on expected busier nights and leading front-end operations on Guest Services Manager off-days

- Support Health Partner membership program

- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Work weekends and nights when necessary

- Other duties as assigned

Environmental Factors:

- Some work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

- This position requires standing and/or sitting for long periods of time.

- Interacting with both individuals and large groups is necessary and unavoidable.  Ability to talk, hear, and see are required.
