About this role
The Lead Auditor is responsible for ensuring that Noble’s Management System in Brazil remains fully aligned with applicable Brazilian regulatory requirements, ANP regulations, Petrobras standards, contractual obliga-tions, and PEO Sondas requirements and expectations. The position serves as the focal point for audit prepar-edness, management system compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across Noble's Brazil opera-tions.
The Lead Auditor will lead the planning, execution, and coordination of audit readiness activities, supporting operational and functional departments in maintaining compliance and operational excellence. This role is re-sponsible for reviewing and improving policies, procedures, and processes, identifying compliance gaps, coor-dinating corrective actions, and preparing Noble to successfully undergo ANP, Petrobras, PEO Sondas, custom-er, and internal audits.
The position works closely with Operations, HSE, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and offshore personnel to ensure effective implementation of management system requirements and to promote a culture of compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
## RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Management System Governance
- Maintain and continuously improve Noble's Brazil Management System to ensure compliance with corporate standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure alignment of policies, procedures, standards, and processes with: ANP requirements
- Brazilian regulatory requirements
- Petrobras requirements
- PEO Sondas requirements and expectations
- Noble management system standards
- Perform periodic reviews of procedures, work instructions, and governance documents to ensure continued compliance and effectiveness.
- Identify compliance gaps and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
Audit Readiness and Coordination
- Lead the preparation and coordination of ANP, Petrobras, PEO Sondas, customer, and corporate audits.
- Develop and maintain audit readiness programs and compliance verification processes.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with management system requirements.
- Coordinate audit schedules, logistics, documentation reviews, and stakeholder preparation activities.
- Facilitate audit meetings, opening and closing conferences, and interaction with auditors and inspectors.
- Ensure timely and effective closure of audit findings, observations, and non-conformities.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions through completion and verification.
Regulatory Compliance
- Monitor changes in Brazilian regulatory requirements, ANP regulations, Petrobras standards, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate potential impacts of regulatory changes on Noble operations and management systems.
- Develop implementation plans to ensure compliance with new or revised requirements.
- Support regulatory inspections and interactions with government agencies and customer representatives.
- Maintain compliance records and documentation necessary to demonstrate regulatory conformity.
Operational Support
- Provide guidance and support to offshore and onshore operations regarding compliance requirements and management system implementation.
- Support operational departments in understanding and meeting Petrobras, PEO Sondas, and ANP expectations.
- Assist functional departments with the development, revision, and implementation of procedures and controls.
- Participate in operational improvement initiatives designed to enhance safety, performance, efficiency, and compliance.
- Conduct compliance reviews and field verifications onboard rigs and at shore-based facilities.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyze audit results, performance indicators, compliance trends, and lessons learned to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead management system improvement projects that strengthen operational excellence and audit performance.
- Facilitate root cause analyses and support corrective action development.
- Promote best practices and standardization across Noble Brazil operations.
- Support initiatives designed to strengthen Noble's reputation and performance with Petrobras and PEO Sondas.
Training and Awareness
- Develop and deliver training related to management systems, compliance requirements, audit readiness, and regulatory obligations.
- Promote awareness of Petrobras, ANP, and PEO Sondas requirements throughout the organization.
- Coach personnel on compliance expectations and management system responsibilities.
- Develop and Coach the Operations Quality Specialist and Document Controller.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, HSE, Quality Management, Maritime Studies, or related discipline.
- Significant experience in offshore drilling, oil and gas operations, quality management, compliance, auditing, or management systems.
- Strong understanding of ANP regulations, Brazilian regulatory requirements, Petrobras standards, and offshore industry best practices.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Petrobras / PEO Sondas requirements, operational expectations, and performance standards.
- Experience conducting internal, external, regulatory, and customer audits.
- Strong understanding of management systems, risk management processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
Working Conditions
- Travel domestically, internationally and offshore as required.
