Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to analog/mixed-signal electrical characterization activities for cutting-edge optical transceiver products, supporting the team from first-silicon bring-up through production readiness under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Develop characterization test plans, coverage matrices, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for high-speed electrical interfaces, analog front-end blocks, clocking, control loops, and mixed-signal product features.
- Build, debug, and maintain lab characterization setups using oscilloscopes, BER testers, signal generators, VNAs, power supplies, source meters, thermal equipment, FPGA boards, and custom evaluation hardware.
- Develop and maintain automated test software, scripts, and data-analysis flows to improve characterization efficiency, repeatability, coverage, and reporting quality.
- Perform detailed measurements across process, voltage, temperature, frequency, power, and operating-mode corners; analyze product margins and correlate lab results with design expectations and simulation targets.
- Identify optimal trimming, calibration, register-control, and operating ranges needed to meet product performance, yield, reliability, and manufacturability targets.
- Support electrical-side product bring-up and debug activities, help isolate root causes of unexpected behavior, and work with design, systems, firmware, packaging, optical, test, and manufacturing teams to drive closure.
- Generate clear characterization reports, limit recommendations, production-readiness summaries, and technical documentation to support product qualification and transfer to manufacturing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of characterization methodologies, automation infrastructure, data logging, and AI-enabled productivity workflows.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a reputable university; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong fundamentals in analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed electrical circuits, with interest in optical transceivers, SerDes-style interfaces, clocking, data converters, drivers, TIAs, regulators, and control/calibration loops.
- Hands-on mindset with demonstrated passion for both hardware and software, including lab setup development, measurement automation, debugging, and data-driven engineering decisions.
- Experience or strong working knowledge of lab instrumentation used for electrical characterization, such as oscilloscopes, BER testers, signal generators, VNAs, power supplies, source meters, and thermal control equipment.
- Programming or scripting capability for automation, data analysis, and test development using languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or similar.
- Knowledge of FPGA interfacing, embedded control, register access, digital communication interfaces, or hardware bring-up is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze large characterization datasets, extract meaningful trends, define limits or trimming ranges, and communicate conclusions through clear reports and technical presentations.
- Comfortable using modern AI-enabled productivity tools responsibly to accelerate coding, documentation, data analysis, and workflow automation.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across design, validation, firmware, systems, test, and manufacturing teams.
