Category Analyst New Graduate Program

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking analytical, customer-obsessed Category Analysts to join our New Graduate Program in Fort Lauderdale, FL. In this role, you’ll combine financial analysis, assortment management, vendor partnership, and e-commerce execution to help deliver the right products at the right value for Chewy customers.

You’ll partner with Category Managers and cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance, identify growth opportunities, and execute category initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about retail and e-commerce who is eager to develop into a future merchandising leader.

What You’ll Do:

- Analyze category performance, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Translate data into recommendations that improve sales, profitability, assortment, inventory, and the customer experience.
- Support category strategy, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate new item launches, vendor onboarding, product setup, pricing, content readiness, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
- Build productive vendor relationships and support discussions related to products, costs, pricing, promotions, inventory, and performance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute category priorities and address inventory or product-availability risks.
- Prepare reports and presentations that clearly communicate performance, insights, and recommended actions while managing multiple priorities with increasing independence.

What You’ll Need:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2027.
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization and the ability to begin full-time employment in Fort Lauderdale, FL on July 12, 2027.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a foundational understanding of retail and financial metrics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and large-data analysis.
- Strong organizational, project-management, communication, and presentation skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- A collaborative, customer-first mindset with demonstrated initiative, accountability, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in retail merchandising, e-commerce, vendor management, pricing, planning, inventory, product setup, digital content, or promotional execution.
- Experience creating business reports or presenting data-driven recommendations.
- Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, German, French, or Italian language skills.
