About this role
Overview of the role The People & Culture Senior Specialist is the operational engine of business partnering, employee relations, recruitment delivery and workforce planning at IFX. Working closely with the People & Culture Senior Manager, the Senior Specialist translates strategy into day -to-day delivery: managing ER cases end -to-end, partnering directly with managers, owning recruitment delivery for the business alongside the Talent Operations Associate, and applying the job levelling framework consistently as the organisation grows.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned managers and teams, understanding their needs and translating them into people-focused solutions.
- Support managers through organisational and team changes, advising on people implications and ensuring alignment with established frameworks and processes.
- Support the delivery and application of workforce planning initiatives, including organisational design, job levelling, succession planning, and career pathways.
- Develop management capability through coaching, guidance, and proactive partnership.
Employee Relations
- Manage employee relations cases end-to-end, escalating complex or high-risk matters to the People & Culture Senior Manager or Director as appropriate.
- Advise managers on employee relations matters, balancing legal and commercial considerations with company culture and values.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee relations records, documentation, and case files.
Recruitment Delivery
- Partner with and guide hiring managers through the recruitment process for entry-level through to management positions.
- Support the Talent Operations Associate in delivering end-to-end recruitment processes across the business.
- Continuously improve recruitment processes to drive positive business outcomes and deliver an excellent candidate experience.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of the recruitment target operating model (TOM).
Talent Enablement
- Support the effective adoption and utilisation of people systems and frameworks, including Culture Amp and Pinpoint.
- Assist with the delivery of performance management cycles, including probation reviews and annual performance reviews.
- Support managers in developing high-performing teams through the CTG and BTG frameworks.
Employee Relations and Talent Reporting
- Produce regular employee relations and recruitment management information (MI) reports for the Senior Manager and Director.
- Analyse trends, identify risks, and proactively highlight areas requiring attention or intervention.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Solid experience in a People & Culture or HR generalist role covering business partnering, employee relations, and recruitment, ideally within a fast-paced fintech or financial services environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing employee relations cases from initiation through to resolution.
- Recruitment delivery experience, including managing end-to-end hiring processes across a variety of roles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence managers at all levels.
- Sound knowledge of employment law and its practical application within a commercial environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in relation to case management, documentation, and reporting.
- A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, growth mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Adaptable, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
