Job Description:

Role Overview

The Field Technician travels to customer locations to install, maintain, and repair technical equipment or systems.  They are the primary on-site representatives of the company, responsible for troubleshooting hardware issues, performance routine maintenance, and ensuring clients know how to use their systems properly.

What You'll Do

- Setting up, configuring, and testing new hardware or software components at client sites.
- Diagnosing technical or mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Conduct routine scheduled inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to prevent downtime.
- Training customers on equipment operations, answering questions, and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Managing work orders, tracking replacement parts inventory, and logging completed services in company software.
- Operating company vehicles safely and strictly adhering to OSHA and company safety guidelines

Individual tasks / Responsibilities

- Frequent travel to field locations and job sites
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if required
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed
- Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have flexibility of working extended hours.
- In addition to independent qualities, the ability to work well as part of a regional/global and virtual teams across multiple geographies/vertical markets

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in field operations
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements (OSHA or industry-specific)
- Ability to read schedules, work orders, and technical documentation
- Proficiency with mobile devices, field management software, and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
- Experience in utilities / maintenance / telecommunications / logistics
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in English. Spanish is a plus.
