About this role
The Material Handler will be responsible to move product and/or material throughout the warehouse, to and from the production floor, and load and unload trucks.
- Operates a forklift to move material and/or product through the production plant to ensure each work station (including shipping docks) have the proper material needed to perform their duties.
- Performs inventory management and warehousing responsibilities by storing all finished goods in the correct designated areas, accurately records materials and equipment in the proper locations, accurately records materials used based on work order requirements so that all inventory balances may be maintained.
- May assist with ensuring vehicles are clean in preparation to ship.
- Performs safety and housekeeping aspects of the job by following all safety rules according to company procedures, locking out equipment as required, cleaning up work areas during and at completion of tasks, maintaining all work stations and equipment in an orderly, clean fashion.
- Proper safety equipment will be worn as required by job duties.
- Employee may be required to handle RCRA regulated hazardous wastes in the normal performance of their duties.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. At least 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is required along with good written and communication skills. Previous experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and data entry into the system is preferred. Must have great attendance and ability to work overtime (including weekends) when needed.
