Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong mechanical design background and substantial experience in mechanical pumping and cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading technical teams and driving new product development in a manufacturing engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead new product development teams with a focus on mechanical pumping systems and cooling systems with heat exchangers and fans.
- Coordinate engineering activities and project execution to ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables.
- Drive project timelines and manage technical risks to achieve high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and support their professional growth.
- Utilize engineering tools such as PLM and MRP software to optimize project workflows.
- Conduct system testing and debugging to enhance product performance and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar education with significant relevant experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing mechanical pumping systems and cooling systems.
- 3+ years of experience leading new product development teams.
- Proficiency in engineering tools like PLM and MRP software.
- Solid understanding of system testing, debugging, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong technical problem-solving and risk analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
- Experience with Solidworks is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data center cooling and heat exchanger/thermal management systems.
- Experience in electromechanical systems is beneficial.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams of 4 or more engineers.
- Broader project management exposure and new product development leadership are nice-to-haves.
Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing engineering environment, focused on supporting the growth of data centers. The role involves technical leadership and project management in a dynamic and expanding company.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Woburn, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $160000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
