JOB DESCRIPTION
General Responsibilities: The Head of Racquets is responsible for launching, developing, and managing the Club’s tennis, pickleball, and padel programs. This position will focus on creating an active racquet community, engaging members of all skill levels, and delivering a high-quality member experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the racquet facilities and racquet shop.
- Manage merchandise, inventory, equipment, and special orders.
- Ensure the courts, shop, and surrounding areas are maintained to Club standards.
- Collaborate with golf, fitness, food and beverage, membership, and hotel teams to create integrated member experiences.
- Assist with the department’s operating budget, revenue goals, and expenses.
- Represent the Club professionally and provide attentive, personalized service to members and guests.
- Provide excellent service to club members by promptly responding to inquiries, coordinating lesson schedules, and ensuring a positive, personalized experience.
- Ensure racquet sports facilities are well-maintained, with clean courts, proper net setup, and safe surfaces, upholding the club's standards.
- Work with club management to plan and host racquet sports events, including clinics, tournaments, and social gatherings that build community among members.
- Assist members in selecting racquet sports equipment by recommending racquets, balls, and apparel suited to their skill level and style.
Qualifications:

- Certified Tennis Teaching Professional (USPTA or PTR certification preferred).
- Proven experience in teaching tennis lessons to players of all ages and abilities.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times, representing the tennis program and shop with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for tennis and a commitment to fostering player development.
- Ability to organize and manage tennis programs and events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred).
