Overview

JST is currently seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Training Lead to join our team. The Senior Acquisition Training Lead will create acquisition training material, maintain training database, operate the Learning Management System (LMS), conduct training, collect and analyze training class feedback, respond to Service Desk inquiries that require training refresher, and create desk guides.

This is a full-time position with 70% telework. Customer requires 1-2 days of in-office requirements in Washington, D.C. per week. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.

Senior Acquisition Training Lead Responsibilities

- Create acquisition training material, maintain training database, conduct training, respond to Service Desk inquiries that require training refresher, create desk guides.

- Manage training logistics, advertise training opportunities to stakeholders, operate the Learning Management System (LMS), and collect and analyze training class feedback.

- Quickly digest procurement policy updates from the Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of War (DOW) and create relevant, concise, applicable, and engaging training courses and self-help materials or videos to train staff and keep them abreast of the ever-changing regulations.

Senior Acquisition Training Lead Skills

- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) including the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul. Experience with Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS), Other Transaction Authority (OTAs), and Construction contracts is a plus.

- Experience with adult learning models, instructional design, training class delivery.

- Demonstrated competency in MS Office, including Visio, building PowerPoint briefings, and creating Excel templates.

- Strong communication and training soft skills, public speaking, and presentation ability.

- Desired skills include maintaining content in Atlassian Confluence, Navy Electronic Procurement System (ePS) (or similar contract writing system), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) applications (to include Clause Logic Service), and Cornerstone LMS.

- Understanding of various acquisition methods and contract types, including commercial and non-commercial acquisitions, fixed-price contracts, and cost-reimbursement contract types.

- Acquisition lifecycle expertise to include contract closeout and unliquidated obligation (ULO) modification procedures.

- Critical thinking, developing others, continual learning, customer service, creativity and innovation, business acumen, problem solving, change management, teambuilding, leveraging diversity, conflict management, influencing/negotiating, and accountability.

Senior Acquisition Training Lead Qualifications

- Master's degree in a related field

- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a DOW contract specialist (1102 job series)

- Minimum of 5 years of adult learning, knowledge transfer, and course preparation relevant experience within the previous 15 years

- DAWIA Level II, Contracting Professional Certification, Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM), or equivalent

- DOW acquisition policy, practices, and procedures

- Defense contractor industry business practices/procedures

- Technical understanding/credibility interpreting federal/DOW acquisition regulations via oral and written communication

Required Clearances and Screenings

- Active Secret clearance is required

- MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
