Do you have an eye for detail, enjoy solving problems, and take pride in getting the little things right? Join the Loan Department at Huron Community Bank as a Loan Servicing Specialist and play an important role in keeping our customers’ loans accurate, organized, and running smoothly.

This is more than a paperwork position. You’ll be an essential part of the lending team , working with loan data, documents, payments, escrow, customer questions, compliance, and much more.

What You'll Do

As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you will:

- Provide courteous, efficient, and professional service to customers and coworkers.

- Maintain loan accounts and respond to customer inquiries.

- Enter and verify new loan information in the core system.

- Prepare loan disbursements and balance transactions.

- Research and resolve unposted consumer and mortgage loan payments.

- Maintain loan ticklers and follow up on required documentation.

- Review loan data and transaction reports for accuracy and compliance.

- Assist with loan document imaging, scanning, electronic filing, and organization.

- Monitor non-escrowed real estate taxes for delinquency.

- Assist with the annual mass escrow analysis.

- Maintain accurate active and closed loan files in accordance with retention requirements.

- Provide backup support and cross-train within the Loan Department.

- Follow all bank security policies, internal controls, procedures, and applicable banking laws and regulations.

Education: A high school diploma or it's equivalent

Experience: Prior Banking experience preferred.

Equipment: Computers, fax, telephone, calculators, Copy machine and typewriter

This position requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching.  Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, copiers, requires normal range of hearing and vision.  Mental demands - must be able to analyze complex information at times, and perform simple mathematical calculations.  Most also be able to work under stress and pressure.  Works in a typical office setting and is stationed at a desk approximately 90% of the time.  Occasional to moderate overtime may be required.
