Overview

Position: Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (PRN/ Per Diem)

Location: NovaCare Havre de Grace, MD

Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 /Hr.

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Bowie, MD, is seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dynamic outpatient team. This is a great opportunity for a therapist who enjoys working with upper extremity (UE) cases and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

We are ideally looking for a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an OT with at least 2 years of experience in upper-extremity rehabilitation.

Schedule: As needed, per diem hours are available. Our center is open as early as 7A, closing at 7P Monday through Thursday and until 2P on Friday. Part-time (steady hours) are possible.

Responsibilities

- Collaboration: Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

- High Standard of Care: Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception).

- Personalized Treatment: Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

- Relationship-Building: Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

- Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy

- CPR certification

- Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

- At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

- Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
