What will you do?
Join a technology team within Risk & Compliance focused on Model Risk Management and Operational Risk Management solutions. You will design, build, and support enterprise-grade applications with a strong emphasis on backend development using Java and Spring technologies while contributing to React and TypeScript front-end delivery when required. The role combines hands-on engineering, solution design, technical leadership, and close collaboration with Agile delivery teams to build resilient, scalable, and production-ready platforms.
Your tasks
- Design, build, and support backend services and APIs using Java and Spring
- Create solution designs and technical documentation including UML diagrams
- Deliver end-to-end features across backend and frontend components
- Implement microservices and micro-database architectures with clear API contracts
- Build integrations using event-driven architecture patterns
- Develop workflow-driven capabilities using BPMN-based solutions
- Ensure production readiness through logging, monitoring, resilience, and error handling
- Develop and maintain batch processing solutions
- Drive software quality through automated testing and code scanning
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams using JIRA and Confluence
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and delivery guidance to team members
Your skills
- 8+ years of enterprise application development experience
- 2+ years of technical team leadership experience
- Strong expertise in Java
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring REST, Spring Security, and Spring Profiles
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with micro-database architecture
- Experience with event-driven systems
- Experience with ReactJS
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience creating API specifications using Swagger or OpenAPI
- Strong automated testing skills with JUnit and mocking frameworks
- Experience supporting batch processing applications
- Strong understanding of logging and error handling practices
- Hands-on experience with Docker
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
- Cloud services development experience
- Experience with code scanning and remediation of security and quality findings
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence
