Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a full-time Construction Revit Operator to join our VDC Team. The Construction Revit Operator will work closely with Project Managers, Electrical Planning Foremen, and field leadership to support the planning, coordination, prefabrication, and installation of electrical systems on construction projects.
The Construction Revit Operator is responsible for developing and maintaining construction-ready Revit models, producing coordinated shop drawings, creating prefabrication details, and extracting schedules and installation information to support field operations.
Major Duties:
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D Revit models of electrical systems, including power, lighting, telecom, fire alarm, and security systems as required.
- Create views, sheets, details, schedules, and prefabrication components from Revit models.
- Produce accurate and constructible shop drawings, installation details, and field-ready documentation.
- Review and implement project BIM Execution Plans, modeling requirements, and Level of Development (LOD) standards.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Planning Foremen, field leadership, and project teams to coordinate installations and resolve design and construction conflicts.
- Participate in model coordination and clash detection efforts using Navisworks and other BIM tools.
- Develop and maintain cloud-based project models and assist with model management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
- Demonstrate dependability through regular attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours.
- Be a self-starter capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience using Revit in an electrical construction, BIM, VDC, or related environment.
- Experience working with BIM software including Revit, Navisworks, and Revizto.
- Experience developing and maintaining cloud-based models.
- Advanced Revit skills, including modeling, documentation, scheduling, and detailing.
- Experience creating shop drawings, coordination drawings, and construction documentation from Revit models.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical construction practices.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, constructability, and installation methods.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Bluebeam.
- Experience working for an electrical contractor preferred.
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Autodesk Revit certification or equivalent technical certification.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm.
